Ululo

Not gonna lie, this blog is my procrastination tool. I rarely write here unless there is something of dire importance to be done elsewhere. So if I often post about homework, you now know why. (Due Monday: two take home midterms, an overdue paper, and an anotated bibliography covering a multitude of secondary sources I haven't yet read. Oh, yes. I'm screwed.)

List of things that happened / thoughts that occured to me this week, because I'm too lazy to write proper blog posts:
- I discovered my favorite Latin word. It's onomonopoetic. Ululo, ululare, ululavi, ululatus: to howl, yell, shriek; to celebrate or proclaim with howling.

-My roommate waxed my friend (gay-man-number-what?) Alec's chest late Monday night, while I tried to write a paper. We stifled his shrieks (quiritationes?) using a pillow. I'm not entirely sure how well the paper turned out.

-Charles: "Bess should see my new underwear." Bess: "Drop 'em, bitch!" ...Charles' man-panties give him racing stripes.

- Wednesday night we had four visitors in my room, three of which were Mac users. We passed our laptops around for about three hours. Charles is a bigger Mac geek than I am, and I didn't know that was possible.

- On a related note, I changed my final film project. We have to do a five to ten minute documentary for my film class. Mine was originally going to be about a clinic on Michigan Rd. that services immigrants. Medical anthropology, fascinating stuff. But after said Apple orgy, I decided to make it on Mac geeks. I'm way excited.

- I work for about 5 hours every Friday. This Friday was different. My boss was gone all day, and she left a note. My comrades and I were instructed to decorate the Rare books archive for Halloween. We worked on it, unsupervised, for about an hour and a half, going through about three bags of artificial cobweb. Plastic rats and spiders everywhere. Fun times.

Alright. My collegiate career is quite miffed at me right now. I had best attend to it.
