The storm is over. Cable television and the internet have been restored. Huzzah.

Today the Next Door Neighbor Boy left for college. He was my best friend when I was just a small one. Since then we haven't been in touch very much. He came over just before he had to go, and we watched Cowboy Bebop. Strange how quickly this time in our lives has snuck up on us.

He'll have fun in college. I will, too.

I did not originally intend for this blog to be a journal. My day-to-day activities aren't interesting enough to chronicle. But I rarely find anything else to write about, and when I do, it's not very interesting, either.

With college starting, it is very important that I get into the habit of writing. I'll continue using this space, although sometimes I have doubts as to how it should be used.
