Time flies. Overdrive. End of school's near, and there's much to do yet. Two research papers, both short, but a pain none the less. One's on the evolution of the internet, the other on marine oil spills. Good lord, I hate the latter. Must be done. The pressure is on.
Watched America's Funniest Home Videos. Why? Nothing else seems to be on at 5pm. Ever. Ahh, well. No harm in mindless eye candy.
You know what sucks?
A Whiff of Camelot as 'West Wing' Ends an Era
That sucks. Aaron Sorkin, head writer and executive producer of the West Wing, is not returning next season. The West Wing has been, quite possibly, the most intelligent show on television for the past -- what, like, four years? The dialogue was fast and funny and thoughtful and real. The story lines were all-engrossing, and the characters -- let's just say the show rocked my socks. Sure, I didn't always agree with the politics. Occasionally a bit too far left wing for me. But despite any conceivable flaws or shortcomings the show might have had, it still rocked. They can't take Sorkin away. Sorkin, it seems to me, made that show what it is. Anyway. It's not as if it's cancelled, so, I'll stop refering to it in the past tense.
Speaking of cancelled shows:
