The book she gave me is called The Clockwork Muse: a Practical Guide to Writing Theses, Dissertaions, and Books. I am writing none of these things, but if you've ever seen me slog through a four page paper (or waited for said paper to be turned in), you would think I was. My anthropology professor recommended it to me. What, besides Madam Professor's kindness, does this tell you?
