Looks like someone is having even more trouble with driving than I am.
I'll be taking a midterm at driving school today. The gentleman teaching the class was kind enough to give a brief review of the test's contents. Apparently I'm supposed to know the "Four S's of a Curve." The best I could come up with is 1) signal, 2) slow, 3) steer, 4) "Shit!" Somehow I don't think that's it, though. Oh, well. I'm sure I'll do just fine.
My future's shaping up quite nicely. Talked to my school administrator the other day. She seems to think I'd be a good candidate for a scholarship to Butler. That sounds nice. I could live with that. This August I hope to be taking a course at the local art center. They're offering an "Acting Shakespeare" class for people of varying levels of experience. Now, it's not a done deal yet; registration for fall classes isn't until next week, and they could conceivably run out of room before I get in. But I can't help but be excited by the prospect. I'm looking forward to fall.
I'm sure I'll regret saying this, but I can't wait for school to start. I'm ready to get to work. Until then, I have Wuthering Heights, Shakespeare's Lives, and The Isles: A History to get through. I doubt I'll finish all three, as that comes to a little under two thousand pages, but I'm going to try.
Anyway, I'm hungry.
