I have just made what I like to call a "boo-boo." I was coming back home from a bike ride, right? Just before I turn into the driveway I start pedaling hard so that I can reach the top. By the time I get up the driveway I'm going pretty fast and I'm slighty off balance. I line myself up like I always do and cleverly steer myself into the narrow space between my mother's car and the posts that hold the awning covering our side porch.
Now, upon reflection, I can't discern exactly where I went wrong -- perhaps the rain is partly at fault -- but there is now a greyish-white scratch about, maybe, six inches long on the side of the car. At the moment I'm comforting myself with the fact that this scratch isn't extremely noticeable. Mom just came down stairs. She's not going to be thrilled, but I doubt I'll get in any major trouble. Never the less, prayers are appreciated.
