So, school's worked itself out. I'm taking American Literature and US History independently in addition to my regular classes, which are English Literature, Study Hall, Chemistry, Civics, Physics, and Algebra 2. Not sure if I'll be taking any electives this year. I'm considering Drawing People, Business Law or Drafting. This'll be my Senior year.

My physics book: "Why do citizens have a responsibility to have some basic understanding of nature's rules?"
Me: "So we don't break them?"
There are consequences for that sort of thing, you know. Defying gravity is just not smiled upon in this day and age. I'm thinking you'd be facing some pretty hefty fines if caught exceeding the speed of light.

Chemistry is indescribably boring thus far. I think the book might have been made by the people who brought us Captain Planet. Each unit addresses its own "issue." I haven't looked at the other units much, but the first one is about Water Quality. A fictional village called Riverwood is used to illustrate how bad water quality can affect our lives. (Hundreds of dead fish go belly up in the river that the village's water supply is taken from. The City Council votes to turn off the water pump until further notice, and there's much speculation as to the economic impact this will have on the village, because many store owners depend on the business of the tourists who come to fish.) It looks like Riverwood will be popping up throughout the book. I'm thrilled. The teacher of the class is fun, and I'm certain the book will improve once we get further along, so I'm sure this won't be completely unbearable.
