Freewrite! (Because who can possibly attempt to say something premeditated and worth while on this of all days?)
I'm unbelievably happy about the fact that it's Saturday. I'm about to head off and eat at The Original Pancake House (also known to some as Mecca) and learn to drive a stick shift. Good times.
Last night was fun. I laughed, I cried, I embarrassed myself. The usual fare. Doc Edwards had a BBQ for my ethnographic writing class and our informants were invited too. I've said this about a million times before, but I honestly believe that anthropology majors (and their friends) are the best people in this university. I just can't help but like them.
It is curious that almost all such events that I've attended have happened on days where I am absolutely exhausted. Which isn't to say that I'm sloth-like at these occaisions -- quite the contrary! I keep myself afloat by projecting outwards. Perhaps too much? Meh. I don't think anyone else noticed or cared. I'm just a little more comfortable at a lower frequency. I generally prefer a less kinetic state of being. Like now.
But oh my gosh we had some good laughs. Can we do it agian next Friday?
