Tee hee

Ha. So I finally got off my keister and invited myself over to Zane's. I was, as always, offered an amazing dinner by his mother (which I ate almost nothing of since I'd already had my evening meal). We then headed out to the pasture and fed the llamas and alpacas, and this was followed by some marshmallow roasting. Zane's little sister was confirmed today, so there were grandparents about. They seemed to be operating under the assumption that Zane and I were destined for marriage, and I was consequently treated to an awkward barrage of old lady hugs at the end of the night. I like hugs, so I can't complain.

Anyway, I seem to have shaken most of the funk I was in earlier today, and that's a happy thing. It's sunny. No angst allowed in the sunshine.

I've started driving Martin on a regular basis. Martin is the name I've decided on for my new (old) car. (Rejected subissions: Hubert, Sherlock, and Phillip.) He looks like a Martin. When I look at my car I see a bony man in black pants and tie, wearing a white startched shirt with a pocket protector and bulky, horn-rimmed glasses. With a cold. Basically think Apollo 13 ground control staff. That's Martin.

Martin and I are still becoming acquainted. Example: I stalled 5 times whilst trying to leave Zane's driveway. Why? I still had the emergency brake on. I'm not sure if I like this whole manual transmission thing. Now I actually have to think about driving. Honestly! Who does that!?
