The "Duh" Vinci Code. (Get it!? "Duh." "Duh Vinci." Haha, hah--never mind.)

The Da Vinci Code was underwhelming. Tom Hanks was about as interesting as Wonder Bread, the albino flagellant seemed there solely for shock value, and Ian Mckellan was exciting for the 30 seconds I mistook his voice for Stephen Fry's. But Englishmen do seem to coo at the same frequency, don't they?

An depth comparison between this movie and V for Vendetta would be most interesting. They have similar themes and features-- big bad authority holding secrets from the public, gratuitous violence, doe-eyed heroins, conspiracy, etc -- but somehow V for Vendetta hit the mark a little closer. That was a good movie, The Da Vinci Code, while not a horrible film, was not. I can't quite place the difference. V made me blubber. And I never blubber at films. (Not even Titanic. Take that James Cameron!)

Stephen Fry was actually in V though.

...

Okay folks, there was more to my evening, but my brain just decided it was finished. Out with the contacts and on to bed.
