My Ark will be equipped with high-speed internet.

I'm taking a sanity day. Found out about the death of perhaps my oldest friend last night. I'm not fit to mentor a chihuahua right now, let alone a group of high-risk high schoolers. I'll be meeting with her mother this afternoon if I can. In the meantime, distraction is the name of the game.

Spent Sunday evening at home. Conclusions: Gattaca is a really depressing movie and TV is the most ridiculously boring human contrivance ever contrived. Thank God my mother has invested in digital cable. Why, without such convenience, I would have been stuck with only fifty-some channels of nothingness, as opposed to the hundred channels of luxurious void I now enjoy.

Thousands upon thousands of hours of work and billions of dollars to create the most disheartening man-made abyss imaginable. If God ever caught a glimpse of cable television, I'm convinced He'd start looking for Noah.

I couldn't blame Him. And anyway, I like rain.
