Deadlines and Other Suggestions

Okay, so apparently my Executive Decisions suck. Making the best of the situation. Trying not to let my nerves get the better of me.

It must nearly be fall semester. Young, female, athletic types are hanging around the Atherton lab and carefully whispering admonitions to each other: "Katie, what are you doing? You can't bring food in here!"

Oh, youth. They'll learn. Lab signs, like speed limits, are merely suggestions. I've eaten lunch in Butler labs. Not proudly, mind. But still. Rules? Pah!

Earlier today I sat in the second floor of Jordan Hall and tried to get some work done. Or I pretended to try and get some work done... Whatever it is I was doing, I contented myself to do it in the usual classroom. Except this time the place looked like the Limestone Fairy had come through and sneezed. Repeatedly. Chalk covered every surface. I drew a smiley face on the Dell by the wall. Per'aps someone will get a giggle out of it before the janitors dust. Someone besides me, that is.

I rather wonder if all the white sediment floating around hasn't damaged the projector in any way.

Such musings prevented me from doing the amount of work I should have. Ah, well. Just one of those strange moods. Not a bad one, though. No, not at all. Yesterday I had sushi and ice cream. The joys of such an experience, I'm happy to report, stay a while. Even if only one piece of Unagi was had. But you know, I suppose company helps, too.
